About Us -
The Souled Store is a homegrown youth casual-wear brand started in 2013. We are one of India’s largest online merchandising platforms with licenses like Disney, Warner Bros; WWE, IPL, Viacom18 to name a few. Apart from selling products with themed designs such as superheroes, movies, TV shows, and cartoons, the brand also is at the forefront of the latest youth style and fashion trends. In addition to core men and women wear apparel categories, we have also expanded to new categories and introduced new product lines like activewear, supima products, innerwear, personal
care products like perfumes etc. We have also launched footwear and kidswear recently.
Although we are primarily an online brand, we’ve expanded in the offline retail space as well and have stores in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Pune and Indore. The Souled Store was born out of the idea of loving what you do, from the soul. We believe that people do their best work when they love what they do. There are too many Monday mornings and you can’t go dreading every single one of them. Over the years, we have built a strong team of like-minded people that work smart, own their work, and think like leaders. Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Hair & Makeup Artist who has a deep understanding of pop culture trends. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing hair and makeup looks that align with the brand’s identity for various shoots, campaigns, and events. You will collaborate closely with the photography, videography, and styling teams to ensure that every model or artist is camera-ready and embodies the spirit of The Souled Store.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the creative team to develop hair and makeup styles that compliment the theme of each photoshoot or video campaign.
Research and stay updated on current beauty trends, especially within the realm of pop culture, to ensure fresh and relevant looks for all shoots.
Execute hair and makeup looks for models, influencers, or talent in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness with all makeup tools and products.
Assist in creative brainstorming sessions for campaigns and ensure that makeup and hair design is in line with the overall concept.
Be available for all studio shoots, promotional events, and special brand activations where makeup and hair services are required.
Be able to recommend makeup and hair products suited to different skin tones and hair textures.
Troubleshoot and adapt makeup and hair styles on-set based on lighting, set design, and creative direction feedback.
Maintain inventory of makeup and hair supplies, and ensure timely restocking of essentials.
Work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Hair & Makeup Artist in a studio, fashion, or a brand.
Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of makeup and hair looks, with an emphasis on pop culture, trends, and modern styles.
Ability to adapt to different skin tones, face shapes, and hair textures.
Experience working on both male and female models, and comfort working in high-paced, creative environments.
Strong understanding of photography and videography makeup techniques, ensuring that makeup looks flawless under camera lights and in post-production.
Good communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to last-minute changes or challenges on set.
Preferred:
Background in pop culture, fashion, or entertainment is a plus.
Basic knowledge of skincare and grooming.
Certifications in makeup artistry or hairstyling are preferred.
