Job Summary:

ChalkWalk is seeking a skilled Web Developer to design, develop, and manage websites that meet client and business needs while also focusing on SEO optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, as well as the end-to-end process of going live on platforms like GoDaddy, Hostinger, and Bluehost. The candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with design and marketing teams to create high-performing, SEO-optimized websites.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain dynamic, responsive websites using a combination of front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to turn wireframes and mockups into functional websites.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of deploying websites on hosting platforms like GoDaddy, Hostinger, and Bluehost.
  • Develop web applications with clean, efficient, and scalable code.
  • Maintain and update websites regularly to enhance SEO, including optimizing keywords, blogs, articles, and page updates with new pictures or banners.
  • Manage database integration and ensure websites are functional across multiple platforms and devices.
  • Optimize websites for performance, load time, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Implement SEO best practices for on-page optimization, such as keyword integration, meta tag optimization, and improving site structure.
  • Conduct regular testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of websites to ensure they are performing optimally.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align development with SEO strategies, such as content optimization and technical SEO improvements.
  • Monitor website analytics and generate performance reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web development technologies, SEO trends, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure the security of websites by managing updates, patches, and security protocols.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshoot issues as needed.



Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Web Developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Expertise in back-end development using languages like Node.js, PHP, Python, and experience with databases (SQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices, including on-page and technical SEO.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your full-stack development and SEO-focused projects.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud services, even at a basic level, would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of SEO tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.) and SEO software.
  • Understanding of website security practices, including SSL implementation.
