We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced POS UI Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of Shopify POS UI Extensions across multiple retail use cases.This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned developer to join our team and leverage their expertise in React, TypeScript, and native POS UI Extension components to build modern POS experiences that meet the evolving needs of retailers.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including Admin APIs (GraphQL/REST), Webhooks, App Bridge, and optional Remix/Node.js services. They will also possess excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of POS UI Extensions.Key responsibilities include:Designing, developing, and leading the delivery of Shopify POS UI Extensions across multiple retail use casesBuilding modern POS experiences using React, TypeScript, and native POS UI Extension componentsUpgrading and migrating older POS UI extension versions to the newest APIs & components, handling breaking changes and rollout strategyIn addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Required skills and qualifications include:8+ years overall IT experience3+ years direct experience in Shopify POS / E-commerce for large retail organizations (>$500M revenue)3–5 years hands-on experience with:Shopify POS UI ExtensionsShopify App BridgeShopify Admin APIs (REST & GraphQL)The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions.
