The Staff Network Engineer will have broad expertise and unique knowledge, in the design and redesign of complex network infrastructures and associated systems. Triage and resolution of highly complex issues related to the network and understanding of the end to end functionality of those systems. With also having skills to contribute to the development of team objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

Job Requirements:

- 8+ years of experience in network administration and configuration.
- 6+ years of experience supporting AWS or Microsoft technologies.
- 5+ years of hands-on Linux experience.
- Cisco CCNP certification or higher, or equivalent qualifications.
- 4-6 years of experience in AWS or Microsoft Cloud design and implementation.
- Advanced AWS certifications.
- 2-4 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), network automation, and programming.
- Expertise in networking technologies, including load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, and reverse proxies.
- Proven experience in architecting complex network infrastructure.
- Advanced Amazon Web Services certifications.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Works directly with multiple teams to support networking products and solutions
- Configure on-premise and cloud networking systems and provide technical guidance and support.
- Take ownership of network troubleshooting from beginning to complete resolution and looks to minimize repeat occurrences.
- Utilizes various troubleshooting tools and techniques, such analysis of log files and packet captures, to determine root cause of an issue or outage.
- Mentors and directs less experienced engineers and other employees in matters of Network Engineering processes and procedures
- Ensures continued smooth operation of growing network infrastructure
- Plans and performs systems upgrades, patching, and compliance remediation tasks
- Maintain and administer various network and systems such as firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers
- Keeps monitoring systems and troubleshooting tools in highly available state
- Works to understand the SaaS model that uses in application development
- Documents IT activities such as downtime, problems, and systems configurations
- Creates and maintains logical and physical network diagrams, and Confluence knowledge base articles
- Reviews, verifies, and performs various IT system maintenance tasks such as backups, upgrades, and patching
- Provides on-call support during both business and non-business hours as established and in accordance with company's Policies and Procedures
- Assists with network infrastructure assessments for potential business acquisitions
