Role and Location

This role is full-time and remotely based in India (with the prospect of visa sponsorship for relocation to HQ in London or Hong Kong, if desired) for a Quantitative Developer at Petronius Capital, who will be involved in for building the core quantitative development framework in Java and MySQL of a robust trading system for deep analytics for, in-depth backtesting of, and strategizing on semi-systematic decision-making for an equity derivatives proprietary trading firm. The role, naturally, requires stellar knowledge of Computer Science and related principles.


University Requirement

Applicants must have graduated from an IIT institution for their undergraduate studies, ideally majoring in Computer Science.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of professional and proficient experience in Java
  • Minimum of two years of professional and proficient experience in relational databases, ideally MySQL or equivalent
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization tools
  • Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration skills, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal micromanagement
  • Desirable: Proficiency in multithreading
  • Desirable: Proven experience in building greenfield projects, ideally within finance
  • Desirable: Professional experience in high finance as a quantitative developer, involving tasks such as backtesting and optimizations
  • Desirable: Knowledge of trading strategizing, particularly in equity derivatives
  • Desirable: Proficiency in R and/or MATLAB and robust statistical analysis
  • Desirable: Proficiency in C and/or C++ and/or C#
