Accounting Specialist PositionThe selected candidate will be responsible for managing accounting records, ensuring timely and accurate entry of financial transactions, reconciliations, and compliance with relevant laws.Key Responsibilities:Transaction Management: The incumbent will perform daily accounting entries in Tally, including expense booking, income booking, and purchase booking. They must maintain accurate classification of ledger heads and ensure error-free data entry.Reconciliation Activities: Periodic reconciliation of income, expenses, bank statements, vendor and customer balances, and GST reconciliation will be conducted to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies.Statutory Returns: Preparation of statutory returns, including monthly GST return (GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B), quarterly TDS return, will be a critical task.Query Handling and Documentation: The Accounts Manager may require assistance in handling GST and TDS queries and maintaining working papers.Standard Operating Procedures: Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring 100% compliance is mandatory.Documentation: Systematic and well-organised physical and digital documentation of all accounting records is required.Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordination with internal departments to resolve document-related and accounts-related discrepancies is essential.Audit Support: Assistance in month-end closing activities and MIS preparation when required, as well as support during internal/external audits by providing required information and schedules.Required Skills & Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance or equivalent.Experience: 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (travel industry experience preferred but not mandatory).Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP and MS Excel.Knowledge: Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliances (GST & TDS).Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and discipline in following SOPs.Organisation: Ability to maintain organised documentation and meet deadlines.
