Synon Application Development Expert

Job Description:We are seeking an experienced developer to join our team as a Synon Developer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AS 400 application development and be proficient in all critical functions of the application development process.The successful candidate will champion SDLC methodologies and ensure that quality standards are met through deep understanding of best practices. We believe for success you should have flexibility, possess a positive outlook, discernment, and inspire change within a fast-growing environment.Within the application development area, you will oversee life cycle process (e.g., design, analysis, review) and testing results to ensure adherence to quality standards and deliver high-quality products. You will also ensure consistent alignment of technical solutions with the business goals and objectives of the supported unit.Additionally, you will perform model training, evaluation, and fine-tuning while considering the constraints and opportunities posed by legacy architectures. You will partner with teams and serve as cross-functional expert to provide benchmarked solutions to multiple, complex technical projects/initiatives using multiple interlocking technologies.Key responsibilities include establishing and driving execution of technical direction, standards, guidelines, methodologies and advocating best practices. You will solve highly technical and complex problems for multiple projects and teams, develop and improve strategic and enterprise-wide technical direction, create or revise operating procedures relating to specific technologies or IS processes, lead assigned team projects and mentor junior resources as needed.You will also possess problem-solving and analytical skills that will help triage production support incidents and provide timely resolution while reducing MTTR. Furthermore, you will perform ITIL functions including but not limited to Incident, Change and Problem Management, perform incident trend analysis, Root cause analysis (RCA) and defect elimination planning.Requirements:5+ years' experience and a deep understanding of AS/400 application development3+ years of application development experience in RPG, RPGLE and CL; 1+ Synon2/E (aka COOL 2/E)3+ years of IBMi SQL experiencePreferred Qualifications:7+ years of experience overall5+ Years of Healthcare ExperienceDemonstrated successful completion of several medium to large scope projects; proficiency working on all phases of SDLC and with problem determination and resolution through research and fact finding.Experience with RxClaim or other PBM Adjudication system is preferred.Experience on Cloud Technologies like GCP, AWS, Azure, Java, Python and AngularEducation:A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or closely related technical field and 3 years of experience in application development and SDLC. Will accept a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.
