Role: Windows Admin and Nutanix
Location: Mumbai
Experience Range: 4 to 8 years

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
1. Design, deploy, and manage Windows-based infrastructure on Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) platforms to support business-critical applications and services.
2. Serve as the primary technical resource for all Windows-related initiatives, projects, and escalations on Nutanix environments.
3. Architect and implement Windows Server operating systems, including installation, configuration, and optimization, to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
4. Configure and maintain virtualized Windows workloads, virtual machines (VMs), and containers on Nutanix AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor) or other hypervisors such as VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
5. Manage storage and compute resources on Nutanix clusters, including storage provisioning, data deduplication, compression, and replication, to maximize resource utilization and efficiency.
6. Implement and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) solutions for Windows workloads on Nutanix, including data replication, failover, and failback processes.
7. Monitor and troubleshoot Windows and Nutanix infrastructure performance, capacity, and health, using monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities to identify and resolve issues proactively.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network, storage, and security teams, to integrate Windows workloads with other IT systems and services, ensuring compatibility and compliance with organizational standards.
9. Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for Windows and Nutanix configurations, deployments, and operations.
10. Stay current with industry trends, Nutanix updates, and emerging technologies in hyper-converged infrastructure and Windows administration, and make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
11. Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT staff and end users on Windows and Nutanix technologies, best practices, and troubleshooting methods.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Nutanix certifications such as Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP) are highly desirable.
2. Proven experience as a Windows system administrator or engineer, with expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Windows Server environments in enterprise-scale environments.
3. Deep understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related technologies, including domain controllers, file services, and DNS/DHCP services.
4. Familiarity with virtualization technologies and hypervisors, particularly Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere, or Microsoft Hyper-V.
5. Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles, as they relate to Windows and Nutanix environments.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex Windows and Nutanix-related issues.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
9. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell for Windows and Nutanix automation is a plus.
10. Familiarity with cloud technologies and services, particularly Nutanix Clusters on AWS or Azure, is advantageous.
