Job Overview:
As a Business Analyst, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across e-commerce, warehouse operations, product management, and technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. You’ll collaborate with US-based clients to capture requirements and convert them into clear, actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with our development and design teams. You’ll be engaged in every phase of the SDLC, from requirements gathering to post-release user training, helping us to deliver optimal solutions and meet strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering:
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions with US-based clients.
- Translate business needs into user stories, epics, functional test cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Create BRD and FRD, Change Requirement documents after gathering requirements.
- Identify key user roles and permission requirements within ABAC and RBAC frameworks.
2. Product and Warehouse Operations:
- Understand end-to-end e-commerce operations, including warehouse processes, inventory management, product information management (PIM), digital asset management, and drop shipping.
- Gain familiarity with product life cycle, supply chain, and logistics operations.
3. SDLC Involvement:
- Actively participate in the full software development lifecycle.
- Take part in sprint ceremonies, prioritization, and estimation sessions.
- Track the status of user stories and support the team in meeting sprint goals.
4. Collaboration with UI/UX & Development:
- Work with the UI/UX team to ensure all aspects of requirements are captured in the design.
- Update user stories with relevant UI/UX designs once finalized.
- Support developers by clarifying requirements and providing timely updates as needed.
5. System Roles & Attributes:
- Manage user roles, permissions, and attribute modifications within the ABAC/RBAC system.
- Ensure accuracy and alignment with security and compliance standards.
6. Testing and UAT:
- Conduct thorough functional testing to validate the system against client requirements.
- Prepare and handle UAT demos with pre-created scenarios for each case.
- Address and resolve issues identified during UAT.
7. Content and Communications:
- Draft email notifications, screen verbiage, release notes, go-live emails, and training guides.
- Maintain clear communication on GO LIVE status, during deployments.
8. End-User Support:
- Conduct training sessions for end-users, providing comprehensive guidance on system usage.
- Serve as a point of contact to answer queries and provide support during post-go-live phases.
9. Process Documentation:
- Document current processes with clearly defined process and workflow diagrams to prevent repetitive developer queries.
- Provide thorough documentation of current processes versus proposed changes, detailing each modification, expected outcomes, and impact assessments.
- For change requests, ensure precise documentation outlining what is to be changed and the impact of those changes on existing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce business, warehouse operations, and PIM systems.
- Familiarity with supply chain/logistics, inventory management, drop shipping, EDIs, and digital asset management.
- Basic accounting knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in requirement gathering, creating user stories, functional testing, and working within ABAC/RBAC systems.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and sprint ceremonies.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with international clients and internal teams effectively.
