Key Responsibilities
- The candidate to should handle different tasks associated with i) Motor supplier association & ii) Inhouse motor development projects
- Strong Understanding of low frequency electromagnetic fundamentals
- Good knowledge of electric motor design principles and methodologies
- Characterize machine performance for basic sizing and performance estimations using analytical tools
- Analysis and validation of designs with FEA calculations in both 2D and 3D
- Proficiency in ANSYS Motor-CAD, ANSYS Maxwell or similar FEA tools.
- Motor optimization taking into account different Multiphysics aspects. ANSYS Opti slang proficiency is an added advantage
- Good understanding of mechanical, thermal, structural & NVH aspects of motor design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure motor design meets specifications
- Prototyping and Manufacturing of the motors for POC verification
- Conduct testing and analysis to optimize PMSM motor (or any other motor type) performance and efficiency
- Platform motor design modification to meet new requirements
- Tear-down and Benchmarking of Motors
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and design improvements to develop the most power dense, efficient, low cost, and reliable electric motor
- Design skills of PMSM motor & magnet less motors (SyncRel, Wound field, Switched reluctance motors, Induction motor etc.)
- Motor supplier association and ensure different motor performance aspects are clearly achieved
- Good expertise in motor material selection, soft magnetic composites, potting solutions, HRE free magnets etc.

- M.E / M. Tech (EEE)
- 4 to 7 Years of Experience in Electromagnetic Motor Design, Prototyping & Testing for Electric Vehicle
