EDGE COMPUTING EXPERTWe are looking for an Edge Computing Expert to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team.Position Snapshot:Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, IndiaType of Contract: PermanentGrade: Band 2Type of work: HybridWork Language: Fluent Business EnglishThe Role:Under the supervision and guidance of his primary Community of Practice Lead and Platform Manager, the Edge Computing Expert brings deep expertise and knowledge on CDN platforms. S/He guides and promotes optimal use of the CDN technology to support the cost effective delivery of business requirements within their area of expertise while maintaining it safe with the WAF configurations. Working at the leading edge of IT, the Edge Computing Expert performs preliminary studies, helping to set the technological direction with the product owner. S/He supports delivery and sustain of the most complex applications and business capabilities, and may be accountable for specific deliverables in relation to delivery and security. In This Role, You Will:Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in edge computing and related fieldsOptimize edge computing infrastructure to deliver enhanced performance, low-latency data processing, and efficient resource utilizationImplement robust security measures to protect sensitive data at the edge and during transmission. Address privacy concerns and ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations.Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, specifications, and user guides, to facilitate seamless knowledge sharing and future development.Collaborate with multiple teams to implement the edge computing solutions to power Nespresso applications.Work closely with cross-functional teams to design robust and scalable edge computing architectures tailored to meet specific project requirementsDevelop and maintain the necessary IaaC and CaaC to deploy Nespresso Infrastructure and configurations.What We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experienceDemonstrable experience working with edge computing technologies and architectures.Previous experience with Akamai CDN technologies.Expertise in networking protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, HTTPS) and edge-to-cloud communication.Solid understanding of security principles and best practices in edge computing environments.Demonstrable experience with continuous delivery tools like Github, Bitbucket, Jenkins or Azure Dev-ops.Ability to communicate effectively in English.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.Extra Skills That Set You Apart:Previous experience with any other edge computing technologies.Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and lead technical initiatives.Previous experience integrating CDN technologies with public cloud providersTerraform and Ansible knowledgeWe Offer You:We offer more than just a job.
