Climate Smart Agriculture Solutions SpecialistThis role is focused on identifying, evaluating, and deploying technologies across agricultural value chains. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in agriculture or a related field.The specialist will work closely with various stakeholders to assess technological impact, estimate greenhouse gas reductions, and design financing solutions promoting CSA practices.Key responsibilities include:Identifying and evaluating CSA technologies suited to selected value chainsAssessing their performance in terms of productivity improvement, input efficiency, and resource reductionDeveloping metrics and methodologies to estimate GHG emission reductions attributed to specific technologies or farming practicesEngaging with stakeholders, including farmer groups, anchor firms, and lenders, to identify barriers to CSA technology adoptionThe successful candidate will be experienced in data analysis, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.PhD in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field, at least 3 years of relevant professional experience, knowledge of agricultural technology providers and implementing partners, proficiency in MS Office and GIS software, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, Strong written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work independently and as part of a team.BenefitsThis role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of climate-resilient agriculture solutions and make a positive impact on the environment.
