Senior Network Operations Center Engineer

Demonstrates expertise in configuring and managing BGP, implementing route filtering, and maintaining IRR/RPKI, max-prefix limits, MD5 authentication, and BFD for reliable peering. Shows comprehensive understanding of Layer 1, 2, and 3 protocols and technologies, including VLAN configuration, trunking, LACP for link aggregation, LLDP for network discovery, ARP for address resolution, and MAC address management. Exhibits in-depth knowledge of Internet Exchanges (IXs), route servers, and various peering types, understanding their roles in facilitating efficient and scalable network interconnections. Demonstrates deep understanding and hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting Layer 1/2/3 protocols and technologies, including VLANs, trunking, link aggregation (LACP), spanning tree (STP), LLDP, and BGP in a data center environment. Efficiently installs, replaces, and verifies hardware components such as optics, supervisor/control modules (SCM), power supplies, fans, and line cards, ensuring all installations meet operational and safety standards. Applies configuration templates for Top-of-Rack (ToR) and spine-leaf architectures and utilizes Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) pipelines to automate and streamline device onboarding and configuration. Diagnoses and resolves issues in data center fabric, understands failure domains, and conducts structured network testing following methodologies such as RFC 2544 to ensure reliability and performance. Utilizes basic automation tools for bulk device turn-ups, maintains data center infrastructure management (DCIM) records, ensures configuration compliance, and supports IPv6-only segment deployments.
