Civil Designer Job OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Project Engineers with the design and drafting of site servicing plans, site grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, pre- and post-development drainage plans; calculations for stormwater management, functional servicing, and floodplain cut and fill analysis.Key Responsibilities:Create design drawings that meet local standards and project specifications.Develop preliminary and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or other computer-assisted design/drafting equipment.Coordinate project drawings with project engineers and other stakeholders.Ensure timely and effective delivery of projects.Work under the direction of senior engineers as part of a collaborative team.Requirements:A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Civil Engineering, preferably from a consulting engineering office environment.Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or related qualifications.Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential, along with strong computer software skills in MS Word and Excel, and PDF viewer.Familiarity with various Municipal & Regional design and drafting standards and guidelines in Ontario, Canada.Experience in preparing preliminary and detailed design drawings associated with Land Development projects, including site servicing, site grading, stormwater management, and floodplain management.Independent, organized, and motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast-paced turnaround environment.Skills in HEC-RAS for floodplain analysis and water resource modeling are an asset.What We Offer:A dynamic work environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.The opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects.Competitive compensation and benefits package.
