Job Title: Power Systems Research SpecialistAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Research Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analyses and modeling studies on power systems.The ideal candidate will have expertise in power system analysis and a strong understanding of transmission and distribution networks. You will work closely with our team to develop and validate network models, conduct quantitative analyses, and provide actionable insights to inform infrastructure planning and grid operations.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct power system simulation studies for transmission and distribution networks to identify infrastructure needs and assess the role of different supply- and demand-side resources.Design and simulate modeling scenarios for transmission and distribution systems, capturing operational challenges such as congestion, voltage management, and frequency stability.Analyze data related to high renewable energy penetration, including net load variability, transmission bottlenecks, and losses.Identify mitigation strategies for technology solutions, regulatory and market enablers, and innovative procurement mechanisms.RequirementsMasters/bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems/Power Engineering/Energy Engineering and related fields.1-3 years of relevant experience for Research Analyst and 4-5 years for Programme Associate; candidates with strong research skills but with lesser experience may also be considered.Experience in power system modeling using software such as MATLAB, Simulink, ETAP, DigSILENT, PSCAD, PSSE.BenefitsWe offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience, a dynamic work environment, and opportunities for professional growth and development.Ceeew operates in a dynamic environment, and the candidate will be required to show flexibility in undertaking a variety of tasks.
