About Our TeamWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. This key role plays a crucial part in managing and optimizing our global 24x7 production infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across multi-site environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving automation and performance improvements.This is a high-impact position that requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and effective communication abilities.The successful candidate will be the first line of defense for incidents, contribute to architecture design, and support seamless product rollouts while maintaining industry-standard operational practices.Your Expertise Matters:We are looking for someone with demonstrable skills and experience managing, troubleshooting, and tuning Linux systems.A friendly and collaborative demeanor, working well with cross-functional teams, is essential for this role.Candidates should have experience automating management of systems and applications using Perl, Python, or Ruby.Familiarity with industry-standard foundation technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, and LDAP is required.Experience in managing large, distributed computing environments is a plus.Knowledge of virtualization – KVM, VMware vSphere, and/or OpenStack is desired.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for this position.Candidates should also have experience with monitoring and alerting systems.Industry-standard operational practices such as change management, incident management, and working in colocation datacenters are expected.Experience with configuration management such as Puppet or Chef is desirable.Loading-balancing technologies – F5, Netscaler or similar are also desired.Distributed database platforms like Kafka, Elastic Search, Cassandra, and MySQL are a bonus.We offer a competitive compensation package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
