We're changing the way financial services operate in Indian ecosystems and striving for best-in-class experience for our customers.We're building products with lenders, insurers, and other partners that utilize Flipkart's distribution platform, data, and technology prowess.Some of the challenges we're addressing include:Standardizing consumer finance techOffering payments-as-a-serviceCredit modeling for financing and insuranceThis role involves leading engineers across diverse groups, setting direction and long-term vision, and partnering with product and business stakeholders to realize that vision.As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead teams working on various products and platforms powering our ecosystem. You'll evangelize ideas, provide technical leadership, and facilitate platformization of systems across the ecosystem.You'll also partner with product teams on key business metrics, drive agility in execution, and create a strong team culture of responsiveness by leading by example.Key responsibilities:1. Team Leadership: Build, lead, develop, and provide hands-on leadership for top-notch engineers and leads.2. Career Development: Create clear career paths for team members, mentor them regularly, and attract and retain top talent while keeping long-term goals in mind.3. Strategic Direction: Drive strategy and vision across teams in a rapidly evolving environment.4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with diverse stakeholders, enable them with scalable and quality technology solutions, and facilitate platform solutions spanning beyond teams and across the ecosystem.5. Business Metrics: Take accountability for moving key business metrics within your area and provide thought partnership to the product team.Required skills and qualifications:B.Tech/M.tech or similar qualification with 10+ years of experience in building cutting-edge products and 2+ years in people management.Good understanding of technology and architecture in highly scalable and available setups.Strong experience handling large data, workflows, scheduling, building pluggable frameworks, and systems.Proven track record of delivering high-quality products, familiarity with multiple software development practices and tools, and strong partnership with product and business teams.Tech stack: Java, Python, Scala, Mysql, Redis, Elastic Search, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Druid, MongoDB, Aerospike, Kafka, RabbitMQ, nodejs, React Native, Reactjs, Reactive Programming with Vert.x & Spring webflux, Google Cloud Platform, K8s.Preferred Qualifications:Exposure to different design & architecture patterns as we build systems in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).Experience with batch processing & near real-time pipelines to transition data between multiple systems.Contact us:To learn more about this opportunity, please reach out to us directly.Average reading time: 7-10 minutes.],
