Mainframe Engineering Lead PositionThis is a senior-level job opening for an experienced Mainframe Engineer Lead who can provide technical leadership and drive innovation in the design, development, and implementation of mainframe solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design and architect various mainframe solutions as a subject matter expert (SME) in areas such as data center planning, hardware sizing, storage replication, high availability, disaster recovery, and OEM/ISV product evaluation and recommendations.Derive realistic mainframe service level agreements (SLAs) and design/propose mainframe architecture meeting those SLA goals.Mainframe licensing, total cost of ownership (TCO), and return on investment (ROI) planning and decision making.Mainframe future roadmap planning and decision making related to modernization and exit strategies.The ideal candidate will have experience with IBM z15, z16, and z17 mainframe hardware and parallel sysplex/GDPS-GDDR setup, both IBM and EMC disk and tape storage hardware, software, and replication, and be conversant with mainframe data center architecture (metro mirror, global mirror, MGM, 2/3/4 site GDPS & GDDR).They should also have experience in mainframe DB2, IMS, IDMS, MQ, CICS, WAS, CA7, CA11, CA1, OmegaMon, BMC AMI suite, Rocket Software Zeke, Zara, Zena, mainframe security RACF, ACF2, Top Secret, mainframe capacity planning and performance tuning, disaster recovery setup, and conducting DR drills.Additionally, the candidate should have hands-on experience with IBM DS8K, IBM TS7K, IBM CyberVault, EMC-VMAX/PowerMax & DLm HW, IBM-Metro/Global Mirror, Copy Services, GDPS, EMC-SRDF, EMC-GDDR, Flash Copy, BCV-SnapVX, zDP, Safe Guarded Copy (SGC), and setting up and managing mainframe DC storage replication.
