Job Description:The primary objective of this role is to ensure the seamless underwriting process for conventional loans.A thorough understanding of US mortgage originations, closing procedures, federal and state lending laws is essential to excel in this position.Key responsibilities include maintaining a working knowledge of the four C's of underwriting and having experience in end-to-end underwriting of conventional loans.A strong understanding of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP) tools is also crucial for success.Required Skills & Qualifications:3+ years of live mortgage underwriting experienceAbility to obtain and decipher AUS findings (DU and LP)Experience in full origination mortgage processing, loan set up, loan documentation, closing, title, quality assurance, compliance, underwriting, or assisting with conventional first mortgage loan productsGood verbal and written communication skillsBenefits:This role offers a competitive compensation package including a maximum salary of up to Rs.10 lakh per annum plus night shift allowance and incentives.Others:The ideal candidate will be able to analyze income and employment data, credit strength, capacity to repay, property appraisal, title report, and calculate and analyze LTV/CLTV/HCLTV/DTI/HTI.They will also have a good decision-making ability in identifying red flags and approving or denying files accordingly.Sound knowledge of various fraud tools and the ability to cite conditions for missing documents are also essential.
