Job ID: 40542Location: Chennai, INArea of interest: Audit, Accounting & FinanceJob type: Regular EmployeeWork style: Office WorkingOpening date: 19 Sept 2025Job Summary Provide Tax Compliance, Reporting and Forecasting support to the specific country tax teams assigned, as detailed below: Gather inputs, collate data, analyse information to compute tax and prepare necessary tax return workpapers and formsLearn & Use the available software applications in the process like Onesource, Longview, SAP, PSGL and any other internal or licensed applications needed to perform the jobInteract and maintain strong working relation with various stakeholders in the process to achieve the job objectivesSupport country tax in maintaining and updating Tax Risk ReportsCollation of Country by Country reporting information.Support on extraction of tax audit information and maintain Audit defence filesSupport the process in various other ancillary processes and tasks to accomplish the job objectiveSupport the team in achieving the common goals of the organisationBe proactive in identifying areas of improvement and achieve the efficiency and cost save targetsTrain the new hires during onboarding and the team for any updates, etcGeneral administrative support to finance teamsQualificationsUniversity degree preferable in Finance or Accounting (Mandatory)Professional qualification such as CA, CWA or MBA Finance (Desirable)Minimum 1-2 years' experience in tax and accounting environments (Desirable)Good understanding of general tax principles and accounting treatment for taxes (current & deferred tax)Good understanding or knowledge of Indian/International income-tax lawsWorking knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications (Mandatory)Good understanding of Automation tools, AI, ML (desirable)About Standard CharteredWe're an international bank, nimble enough to act, big enough for impact.
