**Job Description:**This role involves working at the forefront of next-generation AI and healthcare. We're seeking an engineer who can collaborate with our team to architect intelligent backend systems.You will contribute to designing the next generation of our AI-powered infrastructure, incorporating retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool-using agents, and real-time WebSocket pipelines.We require experience in Python and asynchronous backend frameworks (FastAPI, asyncio, etc.), strong familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agent SDK, or similar orchestration tools, and expertise in retrieval systems, vector databases, or LLM context management.The ideal candidate will possess comfort working with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge) and a solid grounding in software design, system reliability, and testing for AI-driven systems.Key responsibilities include building and orchestrating autonomous AI agents that reason, plan, and call tools via LangGraph, OpenAI SDK, or custom logic, designing RAG pipelines optimized for multi-modal knowledge bases, integrating agents with backend APIs, databases, and workflows, and creating event-driven and streaming architectures using WebSockets and queues for real-time AI responses.Collaboration with product and research teams is crucial to rapidly experiment with new AI capabilities.Our work focuses on critical projects including predicting suicide, violence, addiction, and recidivism in jails and prisons, identifying PTSD and TBI in front-line combat troops, and discovering new endpoints for clinical trials.We offer resources, mentorship, and strategic vision necessary to excel in a fast-paced AI environment creating the next generation of AI technologies.
