Backend Architect and EngineerWe're seeking a highly skilled Backend Architect and Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and low-latency AI-driven backend systems. This role involves architecting the technical vision for our platform, leading development of RESTful APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and backend orchestration, and collaborating closely with AI/ML engineers to integrate LLMs, TTS/STT, RAG patterns, and inference layers into the backend.About the Role:Design and evolve the architecture of our backend platform using Java and Spring BootLead development of scalable, secure, and low-latency AI-integrated servicesCollaborate closely with AI/ML engineers to integrate language models, text-to-speech/speech-to-text, and inference layersDrive system design for real-time infrastructure, analytics, and cloud reliabilityMentor junior engineers and take full ownership of backend delivery pipelinesRequirements:4-6 years of experience in high growth startups, especially in B2B space and AI first environments, with Java (17+) and Spring BootDeep expertise in system design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systemsStrong experience in cloud infrastructure – AWS preferred, Azure or GCP welcomeExperience working with AI teams or AI/ML product integrationsFamiliarity with integrating text-to-speech/speech-to-text APIs, LLM endpoints, or asynchronous inference layersProficient in working with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and message queues like SQS/SNS, Kafka or RabbitMQStrong understanding of security, scalability, and performance tuningHigh growth environment experience is a plusExcellent problem-solving and communication skills
