Accounting Professional SoughtWe are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy individual to support our financial operations, manage reconciliations, and handle complex accounting and tax matters.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooksOversee accounts receivable and payable, preparing and scheduling paymentsHandle bank, credit card, and payment account reconciliationsManage edge cases not covered by automated systemsAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsSupport Canadian tax compliance (GST/HST, payroll remittances, year-end filing)Assist with U.S. tax-related tasks as we expand into the U.S.Maintain accurate transaction classification and general ledger recordsIdentify and suggest improvements to financial workflows and automation logicRequirements:Strong knowledge of QuickBooks requiredExperience with payments, billing, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial trackingComfortable with technology in an automated environmentAbility to troubleshoot accounting discrepancies and handle non-standard casesKnowledge of Canadian tax processes preferredFamiliarity with U.S. tax is an assetExtremely detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent communication and ability to work independentlyPrior bookkeeping or accounting experience beneficial
