In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Mendix applications within our Mendix AWS cloud environments. You will work closely with business analysts, software architects and business stakeholders to implement and enhance custom business applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the Mendix low-code platform, Java and Oracle PL/SQL, along with a passion for solving complex problems. Experience in pharma and clinical trials is a plus.Qualifications:Bachelor’s in Computer Science, or equivalent experience5 or more years of experience in:Mendix Web Application developmentJava and its integration into the Mendix Platform and IDEJavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Atlas UI, React and jQueryPL/SQL syntax, including Views and Stored ProceduresStrong proficiency and hands-on experience in:Oracle SQL and other database technologiesCommon data formats such as XML, JSON and CSVDesigning and consuming REST APIsExperience in database design and query optimizationFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control toolsAn in-depth understanding of:Data structures, algorithms, code organization, runtime complexity, APIs, and testing methodologiesApplication-level design patterns, the costs and benefits of each, and the ability to choose the correct approach to efficiently implement your tasksThe ability to break down, plan and complete story-level programming tasks of up to 80 hours of estimated effort, tested and error-free, with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailFlexibility to change direction, iterate, and adaptExcellent communication and collaboration skillsFamiliarity with the following is a definite plus:The Medical and CRO industriesHIPPA, GDPR, FDA Regulations and Data Privacy lawsFormal Validation testing, documentation and requirementsKey Responsibilities:Application Development:Design, test and develop simple services and applications and complex software components and modules, review your work with senior software developers and architects, and incorporate their feedbackContribute to software design discussions and decisions, create level of effort estimates for team development tasks, help drive the delivery of your projects to production on scheduleAssist junior developers in the completion of their individual tasksEvaluate and prototype new solutions for small projects, including the learning and leveraging of new components, tools and technologiesContribute to the code review process and suggest process improvements, to improve software quality, resiliency, testability and test automationFollow industry standard best practices, including writing high quality code, developing functional and performance tests, maximizing test automation, and utilizing end-to-end deployment pipelines to maintain a fast velocity.Collaboration:Continuously communicate with the team members and business partners in real-time, using Agile principles throughout the software development lifecycle to create, iterate, test and deploy software applicationsParticipate in the requirements management processes, following best practices to accurately gather, document, review and refine the full scope of user needs and functional requirements for the software components and applications under developmentElevate the capabilities of business stakeholders and analysts by sharing development best practices, refining and improving software requirements, and enabling those stakeholders to contribute directly to the application development processIntegrate our applications and components with other systems and APIs across the business, working with partner teams to help evolve their systems and make our shared services and data repositories available, resilient, and reusableData Quality and Governance:Follow industry standard best practices, including writing high quality code, developing functional and performance tests, maximizing test automation, and utilizing end-to-end deployment pipelines to maintain a fast velocityAn in-depth understanding of security and privacy best practices, to ensure compliance with all applicable data governance, regulatory and security standardsPerformance Optimization:Monitor and tune applications to improve efficiency, reduce latency and ensure uptimeAnticipate, troubleshoot and resolve production issues Why Join Us?Work with cutting-edge technologies and a collaborative teamOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageAt Advanced Group, our commitment to diversity and inclusion in every part of our organization is crucial to fulfilling our mission and demonstrating our REAL values.
