Planning Engineer Role OverviewPetrocon Engineers & Consultants is a leading provider of engineering services, seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in planning, scheduling, and project control for large-scale projects. A proven track record of developing and maintaining detailed schedules, tracking site progress, and analyzing schedule deviations is essential.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain baseline schedules for construction and commissioning activities.Track daily, weekly, and monthly site progress using EVMS or Planned vs. Actual methods.Measure physical progress, analyze schedule deviations, and forecast slippages with mitigation strategies.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning.Interface with subcontractors for schedule updates and work-front planning.Lead and participate in daily/weekly planning meetings.Maintain updated schedules, monitor impacts or changes, and track scope changes.Prepare accurate progress and performance reports for management.Create and monitor project plans, daily progress reports, and daily manpower reports.Required Skills and Qualifications:BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.10+ years of planning experience in Oil & Gas EPC/PMC projects (site-based preferred).Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.Strong understanding of construction workflows, CPM, resource loading, and project lifecycles.Experience in refineries, terminals, offshore, pipeline, or similar industrial projects.Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.What You Deliver:Accurate and up-to-date project schedules.Early warnings on delays with actionable mitigation.Clear execution priorities through defined critical paths.Integrated cost-schedule insights.Strong alignment between multidisciplinary teams and contractors.As a Planning Engineer at Petrocon, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality project plans and ensuring timely project completion.
