Position Description


We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control and Systems Engineer to join our team at Known Group Inc. This position involves performing rigorous inspections to ensure that all products meet stringent industry quality standards while also contributing to optimizing and implementing quality control systems. The ideal candidate will hold a mechanical engineering degree and demonstrate ambition for growth into higher managerial roles within the company. This position will report to the Production Quality Manager for India.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough quality inspections of products, ensuring all items meet industry specifications.
  • Verify compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
  • Document inspection outcomes and provide detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Identify non-conformities and initiate corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with the production team to implement effective quality control measures and systems.
  • Attend and participate in pressure & NDT testing as part of the quality assurance process.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining the company's quality assurance protocols and systems.
  • Stay updated on industry practices and emerging quality assessment methods through continuous learning.
  • Participate in product development reviews, providing input on quality standards and expectations.
  • Maintain and manage inspection equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Conduct Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI) and prepare comprehensive Dimensional Inspection Reports.
  • Travel up to 40% domestically (within India) with some international travel. The ability to travel outside of India is preferred but not required.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned.
  • Engage in supplier quality development activities to ensure supplier performance meets company standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in quality control, preferably in manufacturing or product inspection.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools and methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency and full competence in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Physical ability to handle inspection equipment and components of various sizes.
  • Knowledge of CAD software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and specifications such as ASME, ASTM, API, and MSS is preferred.
  • Preferred location is Rajkot, India, but we are open to other locations for a qualified candidate.
