With operational hydrogen plants across India, we're accelerating the shift toward a cleaner, circular, and more energy-efficient world.Role SummaryWe're looking for a Procurement Engineer (Fresher) to join our Supply Chain & Procurement Team — someone who's eager to learn, highly organised, and excited to support the procurement backbone of our hydrogen and wastewater projects.You'll work closely with engineering, project, and vendor teams to ensure timely sourcing of critical mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components that power Ossus' technologies.If you're detail-oriented, enjoy coordination, and want to shape the material flow behind clean-energy innovation, this role is a great place to start.What You'll DoPrepare and float RFQs (Request for Quotations) to suppliers.Support the technical and commercial evaluation of vendor quotations.Coordinate with engineering and project teams to understand specifications, drawings, and BOQs.Assist in preparing purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timelines are met.Maintain supplier data, procurement logs, and documentation.Help identify and onboard new suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components.Contribute to basic price analysis, comparison, and negotiation activities.Coordinate with QA/QC and logistics teams for inspections, dispatch, and material movement.Learn and support internal procurement processes using ERP or digital tools.What We're Looking ForB.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (0–1 year experience; freshers welcome).Basic understanding of engineering materials, valves, pumps, fittings, and instrumentation.Familiarity with procurement or supply chain processes is a plus.Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email drafting.Ability to coordinate across teams and manage multiple tasks.A willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced project environment.Good to HaveInternship or academic project experience in procurement or supply chain.Exposure to vendor management or technical purchasing.Understanding of industrial equipment used in process or hydrogen systems.Experience working with ERP tools or procurement software.Why You'll Love Working With UsReal-world impact: Your work directly supports the deployment of hydrogen systems across India.Learning & mentorship: Gain hands-on exposure to procurement in high-impact engineering projects.Cross-functional collaboration: Work alongside mechanical, electrical, process, QA/QC, and logistics teams.Fast growth environment: Build a strong foundation to grow into Procurement Executive, Sourcing Engineer, or Project Buyer roles.Purpose-driven work: Contribute to India's clean energy transformation and circular sustainability mission.
