Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Head cum Entrepreneur to lead and build the Cybersecurity Division at Lloyds College of Engineering. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the cybersecurity domain, coupled with entrepreneurial experience in launching and growing cybersecurity ventures. The role demands strategic leadership to develop world-class cybersecurity programs, build a thriving incubation cell, and foster partnerships with industry to create opportunities for students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and Lead the Cybersecurity Division:
- Establish a robust cybersecurity division from the ground up, developing academic and training programs that align with industry standards and innovations.
- Design the curriculum for cybersecurity programs with a focus on emerging technologies, threats, and solutions.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage faculty members, creating a top-tier cybersecurity team.
- Develop the Incubation Cell:
- Lead the creation of a Cybersecurity Incubation Cell that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
- Mentor students on cybersecurity-focused startups and guide them in launching ventures.
- Cultivate partnerships with industry leaders, investors, and cybersecurity professionals to support incubation activities.
- Industry Collaboration and Thought Leadership:
- Build strong relationships with cybersecurity organizations, startups, and industry players to establish Lloyds as a leader in cybersecurity education.
- Represent the college at industry conferences and events to promote the division and create growth opportunities.
- Keep up with the latest trends in cybersecurity, integrating them into academic and incubation programs.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the academic leadership to align the cybersecurity division with Lloyds College's mission and vision.
- Develop long-term strategies for scaling the cybersecurity program and incubator initiatives.
- Lead initiatives to increase enrollment and participation in cybersecurity courses and incubation programs.

Qualifications:

- Cybersecurity Expertise:
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in the field of cybersecurity, including threat intelligence, network security, ethical hacking, risk management, and cyber defense strategies.
- Strong understanding of the latest cybersecurity tools, trends, and best practices.
- Entrepreneurial Background:
- Proven entrepreneurial experience in launching, scaling, or managing cybersecurity ventures or startups.
- Ability to mentor students and faculty on entrepreneurship and innovation in the cybersecurity space.
- Pedigree:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field from a top-tier institution.
- Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA will be an advantage.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in building and managing teams, ideally within an educational or startup environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring students and working with academic leadership.
