Position: Assistant Product DeveloperObjective:Manage fabric sourcing, coordinate samples, support project planning, and collaborate with cross- functional teams to ensure timely product development.Job Responsibilities- Managing and assisting fabric sourcing activities- Assisting the PM with email management, meeting deadlines, and overseeing project planning and completion- Conducting research on new fabric concepts and silhouettes relevant to the department- Coordinating samples, strike-offs, and other design-related elements- Involvement in CAD work for embroideries, new silhouettes, and artworks- Organizing mill visits and coordinating meetingsPosition Requirements- Experience in a previous fashion role (e.g., fabric sourcing, design, product development)- Highly organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment- Self-motivated and capable of working independently- Comprehensive understanding of fabric types and mills- Collaborative and a strong team player- Confident speaker and presenter- Punctual and a clear communicator- Competent in Adobe systems- Fluency in Tamil language would be an added advantageOther Key Notes Regarding the Role:- This role is primarily within the children's wear department, so a keen eye for newness in kids wear and babywear is desirable.- The role involves working closely with the Product Manager on a daily basis, while also collaborating with the wider Product Team (including PMs and Assistants) and the general merchandising team within the department.
