Opportunity DetailsWe're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our new data and analytics team.This role is critical to the development and enhancement of our dimensional data models, supporting key financial reporting and analytics across the business.You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand complex financial concepts and translate them into scalable, performant data models.Design and develop dimensional data models to support financial reporting and broader analytics.Build and maintain robust data pipelines using SQL, Python, and dbt.Work with Microsoft Fabric OneLake and related technologies.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand financial concepts and translate them into technical solutions.Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across the warehouse.Operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices for data warehousing.Key Skills and QualificationsWe're looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with:Proven experience in data warehousing and dimensional modelling, ideally within financial services.Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and PowerBI.Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent analytics technologies.Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex problems.Strong understanding of financial concepts and how they translate into data models.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.About the RoleThis role involves designing, developing, and maintaining dimensional data models to support financial reporting and analytics. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand complex financial concepts and translate them into scalable, performant data models.The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in data warehousing and dimensional modelling, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
