Job Title:A Senior Conversational AI Engineeris responsible for developing and deploying Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and voice agent technologies to transform the primary care experience.Key Responsibilities:Architect and Deploy AI Systems: Design, develop, and deploy LLM- and RAG-based systems that ingest NHS data sources, generate accurate responses, and power both chatbot and voice agent interactions.Prompt Engineering: Craft, iterate, and optimize prompts to maximize response relevance, reduce latency, and ensure clinical safety across text and voice channels.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with frontend and backend teams to integrate AI and voice agent components into a microservices architecture.Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Instrument AI pipelines, analyze logs and user feedback, troubleshoot edge cases, and implement continuous-learning improvements.Innovation and R&D: Stay abreast of the latest advances in conversational AI frameworks and NHS-specific compliance to inform the technical roadmap.Testing and Validation: Define and execute rigorous test plans to validate model accuracy, voice-agent performance, and compliance with healthcare standards.Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, advocate for best practices in MLOps, prompt engineering, and model governance, and contribute to architecture reviews.
