Job Description You will join our Bridges & Civils department.As our new Sr BIM designer, Electrical , you will be part of a world-class, innovation-driven engineering design center owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and is based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.We expect you to have 5+ years of experience in CAD and that you have strong knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Microstation and have knowledge about design engineering of electrical systems with usage of calculation software. You should have strong communication skills, so that communication with other relevant engineers and project managers will be handled smoothly. The role will primarily involve delivering scheduled tasks in form of drawings/models and design calculations reports.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:Design of 2D/3D electrical drawings with input from designersDesign of relevant 2D models for different infrastructure projectsDesign of Low Voltage Switchboards and LV sub-mains cabling.Design of Power distribution to mechanical equipment.Design of Emergency power systems (Diesel Generator, battery systems and UPS).Design of Earthing and bonding installations and lightning protectionDesign of Lighting, Lighting control, and Emergency lighting, both indoor and outdoor (Road/tunnel).Design of Safety installations and Security installationsDesign of ducting in buildings and terrain.Experience:Minimum 5+ years of experience in design of electrical drawings and or models for infrastructure projects, such as road/rail, tunnels, bridges and metros.Strong knowledge of international and national design codes and standardsExperience managing full project cycles, with strong knowledge of different design stages including concept, preliminary, tender, and detailed design, along with preparation of related technical documentation such as design reports and related 2D and 3D drawings.Experienced in interdisciplinary coordination with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and civil teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP-systems.Experienced in performing technical reviews of design documents, equipment specifications, and compliance checks with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.Strong communication and stakeholder management experience with clients, contractors, and authorities.Ability to provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering, CAD and electrical design calculations.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation and Revit for 2D and 3D modelling and coordination.Proficiency in calculation software such as, Dialux, FEBDOK, SEE-Electrical etc.Proven track record on large-scale international infrastructure projects such as road/rail, tunnel, bridges, metros and aviation.Excellent technical reporting, communication and stakeholder coordination skills.Excellent proficiency in collaboration tools such as ProjectWise, SharePoint etc.Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
