Our platform helps users manage conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, PCOS, pregnancy and asthma by delivering daily structured digital therapeutics, lifestyle interventions, personalized nutrition and exercise guidance and real-time monitoring, all without requiring human intervention.
Leveraging AI and adaptive algorithms, Tap Health dynamically personalizes each user’s care journey, delivering enhanced insights, interventions, motivation, adherence and clinical outcomes at a fraction of traditional healthcare costs.
Beyond Digital Therapeutics, the Tap Health platform also provides free primary illness diagnosis based on symptoms and instant health advice through a seamless, voice-first experience
About the Role: Lead - Engineering
You will be leading and managing a team of backend and frontend engineers, playing a critical role in developing and scaling our platform. While leadership is a key aspect of the role, we expect you to remain hands-on with coding. We are looking for a strong Backend Engineering Leader with a solid understanding of frontend practices, particularly in React Native and React.js frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure:
- Optimize cloud costs and ensure secure multi-cloud deployments.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments and various compute systems (VMs, CPUs, GPUs).
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide backend and frontend developers, fostering growth and performance.
- Conduct daily code reviews and allocate tasks to enhance quality and efficiency.
Technical Oversight:
- Architect and deploy AI solutions as microservices.
- Manage TB-scale databases, warehouses, vector stores, and search solutions.
- Optimize caching, READ/WRITE, and ETL systems for seamless scalability.
App Development:
- Lead app releases and updates for ReactNative and ReactJS-based products.
- Ensure compliance with data protocols such as GDPR, CDP, and DPDP.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with QA, Design, AI, and Product Management teams.
- Proactively conduct QA reviews to improve app performance and reliability.
AI Integration:
- Deploy and monitor preliminary AI/GenAI solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Computer Science).
- 5–7 years as a Backend Engineer / Lead with strong team management skills.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes management, data pipelines, schema design, and multi-cloud infrastructure optimization.
- In-depth understanding of app development standards, including Redux, AJAX, JQuery, and Hot Reload.
- Expertise in the MERN stack, including React Native and React.js, with a proven track record of deploying and scaling applications.
- Familiarity with AI/GenAI deployment principles and monitoring.
- Knowledge of data protocols such as GDPR, CDP, and DPDP.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong people management skills
