Experience Level: Junior–Mid Data Engineer (2–4 yrs) with strong Python & SQL skills, hands-on ETL/ELT experience, and exposure to cloud data platforms. Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and application needs. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to ensure smooth data integration from multiple sources into modern cloud-based platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with solid Python and SQL expertise, practical experience in ETL/ELT processes, and familiarity with cloud data services. What You'll Do As part of the job, you will be required to Data Pipeline Development Build and manage data pipelines that automate data ingestion from varied sources (flat files, relational databases, APIs, web scraping). Implement and support workflow orchestration with tools such as Apache Airflow, DBT, or Cloud Data Factories . Enable seamless data transfer to Firestore, Supabase, or relational databases . Data Management Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for extracting, transforming, and loading data. Work with both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) . Apply best practices for data quality, validation, and governance . Programming & Scripting Use Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation, automation, and pipeline development. Write and optimize SQL queries for joins, filtering, aggregation, and performance tuning. Cloud Platforms Gain hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure for data storage, processing, and analytics. Support the design and maintenance of cloud-native data solutions . Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor pipeline health, logging, and performance. Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize performance where needed. Collaboration & Documentation Work with cross-functional teams (analytics, product, data science) to deliver data solutions. Document data flows, pipeline architecture, and standard operating procedures. Stay updated with best practices and emerging data engineering tools. What We're Looking For Must have technical skills Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL (JOIN, GROUP BY, optimization). Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT workflows and pipeline tools (Airflow, DBT, Cloud Data Factories). Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL systems (MongoDB, Cassandra). Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data services. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
