Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Risk Assessment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of US Mortgage Originations, closing procedures, federal and state lending laws.The ideal candidate must have a good working knowledge of all 4C's of underwriting, including creditworthiness, capacity, capital, and collateral.Key responsibilities include:Interpreting state rules, statute laws, and federal regulations.Reviewing loan files for compliance with investor guidelines.Analyzing income, employment, credit strength, and property appraisal.Calculating LTV/CLTV/HCLTV/DTI/HTI ratios.In addition, the successful candidate will have experience in end-to-end underwriting of Conventional loans, with a strong understanding of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP).
