As we expand our global footprint, we seek a dynamic and experienced Export Sales Manager to drive our export sales strategy.
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Export Sales Manager to lead our efforts in penetrating global markets with our premium spirulina products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in food export sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain key relationships with international clients. This role is critical in driving our export sales growth, developing market strategies, and ensuring the seamless execution of our export operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Development & Client Acquisition:
o Identify and target potential international customers in the herbal, food, and nutraceutical sectors.
o Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activities in global markets.
o Develop and execute sales strategies to enter new markets and expand existing ones.
o Initiate and manage outbound cold calls, emails, and follow-up communications to generate leads.
2. Sales & Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
o Negotiate sales contracts, pricing, and terms in alignment with company goals.
o Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations.
o Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure the highest standards of customer service.
3. Export Management:
o Oversee the entire export sales process, including order processing, documentation, shipping, and compliance with international trade regulations.
o Coordinate with freight forwarders, logistics providers, and customs brokers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
o Ensure all export activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and certifications.
4. Collateral Development & Certification Management:
o Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, including brochures, product sheets, and digital content.
o Stay updated on international food certifications and regulations, guiding the company in obtaining and maintaining necessary certifications (e.g., organic, non-GMO, etc.).
o Assist in the preparation of certification documentation and liaise with certification bodies as needed.
5. Exhibitions & Trade Shows:
o Plan and participate in international trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
o Set up and manage exhibition stalls, engaging potential clients and partners effectively.
o Represent the company at international forums, establishing a strong brand presence.
6. Reporting & Analytics:
o Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
o Provide regular sales forecasts and analysis to the management team.
o Use CRM tools to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate records.
7. Other Responsibilities:
o Monitor and manage payment collections from international clients.
o Stay informed of global economic trends, currency fluctuations, and their impact on export sales.
o Provide input on product development based on market feedback and customer needs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in export sales, preferably in the food or nutraceutical industry.
• Proven experience in developing and executing successful export strategies.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, certifications, and logistics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to travel internationally as needed.
• Experience with CRM software and other sales management tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
