About the Role:The Cyber Security Transition Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition of cyber security projects from delivery to operational management. This includes validating project documentation, testing, training, handovers, and vendor onboarding requirements before assuming ownership.Act as a key liaison for internal audit, IT risk, and security governance teams, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, CIS, NIST) and internal security standards.Coordinate project handover, track deliverables against transition requirements, and maintain a Transition Tracker/Dashboard for project-to-operational progress.Validate and catalogue project documentation, ensure all vendor contracts are documented, and assist in reviewing test plans and results to confirm readiness.Coordinate training sessions, maintain a central repository of training content, and support operational teams during shadowing and early operational phases.Maintain a log of outstanding risks/issues, escalate risks for senior management review, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to develop mitigation plans.Work with vendors to ensure support handovers and contract information are documented, and align improvements and mitigation activities with organisational risk policies and governance frameworks.Key Responsibilities:Transition CoordinationDocumentation & Asset ManagementTesting & ValidationKnowledge Transfer & TrainingRisk & Issue ManagementStakeholder & Vendor EngagementProcess OptimisationRequirements:A strong secondary-level education is required, ideally to A-level or equivalent standard, in a technical or analytical discipline.5+ years of experience in cyber security or information security roles, preferably with a focus on transition and operational management.Strong technical experience in Windows Server and Linux environments, with a solid understanding of infrastructure, networking, and operating systems.Hands-on experience with enterprise cyber security tools (e.g., Varonis, Qualys, Symantec DLP, SIEM, EDR).Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, CIS, NIST) and internal security standards.
