Position: GCP Cloud Architect

Experience: 12 – 18 Years

Shift Timings: 3:30 PM IST to 12:30 AM IST . 

Location – Orbit by Auro, Raidurg, Hyderabad.

Work Mode – Hybrid

3 days from Office, 2 days from home

  • Cab Facility for Men: One-way cab service is provided for employees working until midnight or later.
  • Cab Facility for Women : One-way cab service is provided for employees who work till 10.00 PM IST.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and strategic GCP Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures to support the digital transformation and IT modernization of our retail platforms. You will play a key role in defining and executing cloud migration strategies, optimizing infrastructure performance, and ensuring compliance with security and governance best practices across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premise or legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Design multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures to ensure high availability, scalability, and business continuity.
  • Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure robust cloud governance and security compliance.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs, performance, and resource utilization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to development and operations teams on cloud best practices.
  • Keep up to date with emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their applicability to business needs.

 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP – at least 2 of these at an expert level.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, workload assessments, and re-architecting solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies and tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect) are preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in retail or e-commerce cloud deployments.
  • Exposure to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and monitoring solutions.
  • Understanding of data architectures, including data lakes and analytics on the cloud.
