Data Protection SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team. This pivotal role requires an individual with expertise in data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance.The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing data governance across various platforms, including digital healthcare systems, e-commerce, CRM, and operational applications.Ensure full compliance with DPDP Act and internal data-privacy policies.Conduct regular privacy risk assessments, data audits, and maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).Review data flows across systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.Oversee consent management, data subject rights, and incident response from a privacy standpoint.Collaborate with Tech, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure privacy-by-design principles are embedded throughout the organization.Manage vendor privacy compliance and Data Processing Agreements, mitigating potential risks.Lead training and awareness initiatives for employees and partners, fostering a culture of data protection.The ideal candidate will possess:7–15 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, IT governance, or related domains.A strong understanding of DPDP Act, GDPR principles, and data-governance frameworks.Experience with digital/healthcare/CRM/e-commerce platforms is preferred.Certifications such as CIPP/E, DPO Certification, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are a plus.Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
