We work with global clients to transform operations using advanced technology and automation.Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and self-driven Tax Lead / Manager / SME to join our Finance & Taxation team. This senior individual-contributor role will own end-to-end U.S. taxation across Federal, State, Local, and Sales & Use Tax. If you are a go-getter with deep U.S. tax expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally, this role is for you.What You'll OwnUS Federal, State & Local TaxesPrepare & review all U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns Manage ASC 740 tax provisions, deferred taxes & FIN 48Lead compliance, audits, and technical research with external advisorsTrack regulatory changes & recommend strategies Sales & Use TaxManage multi-state sales & use tax complianceOversee tax engines (Avalara, Vertex) and system configurationsMaintain exemption certificates & audit-ready documentation Strategic Tax PlanningLead tax planning initiatives across the businessAdvise business units on tax impacts of transactions & operational changesSupport M&A due diligence, structuring & integrationWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's in Accounting/Finance (Master's in Taxation or CPA preferred)8+ years of solid U.S. tax experience (Big 4 or MNC preferred)Deep knowledge of U.S. federal income tax, state/franchise tax, and S&U taxHands-on experience with tax software and automation toolsStrong communication, analytical, and organizational skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environmentPreferredExperience in SaaS or tech companiesExposure to international taxProcess improvement & tax automation familiarityWhy Join Calpion?
