Endocrinologist Specialist Job DescriptionThe Specialist Physician role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with complex conditions. This entails diagnosing and treating a wide range of disorders, managing patient care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.Main Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests.Prescribe and administer medication, therapy, or other specialized medical care as needed.Liaise and consult with other medical specialists and departments to ensure holistic patient care.Document all relevant clinical information accurately and in a timely manner.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities to enhance patient safety and care standards.Provide instruction, guidance, and supervision to junior medical staff, residents, and students.Communicate effectively with patients and their families, obtaining informed consent as required.Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Key Qualifications and Requirements:Ambulatory Care Specialist degree from a recognized medical school.Completion of a structured clinical residency or fellowship program in the relevant specialization.A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience post-specialization, depending on DOH tier classification qualifications and specific hospital requirements.Valid Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi license or eligibility letter to practice in Abu Dhabi.Current, valid license from the country of last or current practice.Certificate of Good Standing from the relevant licensing authority.Successful completion of the DOH licensing exam.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and commitment to continuous medical education.Fluency in English and Arabic, with competence in other languages a distinct asset.
