WebGL or OpenGL Resource with Unity Experience

Primary Requirement: Seeking a resource with experience in WebGL or OpenGL, along with proficiency in Unity, for a project involving the integration of Lottie animations into Unity.

Project Overview: The project focuses on integrating Lottie animations into Unity, emphasising animation quality and efficiency while ensuring compatibility with Unity‘s rendering systems. Key Skills and Experience: Strong understanding of Unity game development. Experience with WebGL or OpenGL for graphics programming. Proficiency in integrating external components or technologies into Unity projects. Knowledge of animation techniques and rendering in Unity.

Additional Skills (Preferred): Experience with graphics programming languages such as GLSL or HLSL. Familiarity with plugin development for Unity.

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop a Unity Editor Extension for importing and managing Lottie format animations as vector graphic objects in Unity. Implement geometry estimation or shader programming to integrate Lottie animations into Unity runtime, ensuring a seamless user experience. Ensure cross-platform compatibility and optimization across various devices and platforms. Work closely with the design and development teams to understand end-user requirements and translate them into functional and efficient software solutions. Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle from concept to deployment and support. Optimize the plugin for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high performance. Stay updated with the latest Unity features, plugins, and best practices to improve the plugin continuously. Desirable Skills: Proven experience in Unity development, specifically with Editor Extensions and shader programming. Strong understanding of computer graphics, linear algebra, and computational graphics techniques including both bitmaps and vector graphics. Experience with cross-platform development and optimization in Unity. Proficiency in C# and a deep understanding of the Unity Editor‘s scripting API. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex development tasks. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. A portfolio showcasing previous Unity projects or plugins developed.
