Vedanta Aluminium Business operates a world-class 1.6 MTPA aluminium smelter and 3,615 MW thermal power generation facility in Jharsuguda, Odisha. To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals in the position of Head Public Relations & Corporate Communications, Vedanta Jharsuguda.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Maintaining company’s and group’s Brand Image: Develop branding strategy, coordinate with CEO, work with media agencies, manage public relations, generate new ideas for promotions, and ensure consistent messaging
Cordial relations with external stakeholders, opinion makers: Build relationships with key agencies and individuals, utilize social media and digital platforms, collaborate with opinion makers to support strategic agenda
Pro-active risk mitigation & crisis management: Identify and mitigate internal and external challenges, draft communication reports during crises, address media queries promptly
Develop efficient External Relation Team at Unit Level: Identify potential, provide leadership opportunities, offer skill development through training, and establish a succession plan
Team building, people development and succession plan: Develop skill matrix, provide training based on gaps, define Key Result Areas (KRAs) for employees, and monitor performance
Essential Skills:
Development and advocacy experience in a corporate is desirable
Stakeholder management skills and excellent communication skills
Negotiation skills
Leadership qualities to work under stress and adverse conditions
Ready to be hands-on on all assignments

Education Qualification | Work-Ex:
Master‘s in Mass Communication, Public Relations or Equivalent Qualification
15 - 20 years of experience in a large manufacturing company
Eligibility Criteria:
60% & above throughout Education
Maximum 1 year of gap between studies (Either 12th & Graduation or Graduation & Post-Graduation)
No gap in 10th & 12th allowed
Open for Jharsuguda Location
