Job Description:
JOB OVERVIEW
Under limited supervision, the Principal SAP Developer will be required to analyze highly complex business problems to be solved with technical solutions. It will provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meets business objectives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical leadership in the design, development, implementation and support of SAP medium size functional solutions.
• Worked on minimum 4 years in EWM system SAP EWM ABAP developments
• As a member of development team: work independently to design and develop solutions to meet the business requirements in all of the related functional areas such as MM, SD, FI, CO, QM, APO, SRM.
• Manage all phases of the development life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and post-production support/maintenance.
• Create development standards and best practices to deliver stable, reliable, high-performing, accurate, user-friendly, low-maintenance solutions that are highly available and scalable.
• Produce and peer review technical designs and architectures for development projects.
• Demonstrate effective and collaborative communication with internal team members and functional team members.
• Coordinate project tasks and ensure accurate estimates are provided for completion of development tasks.
• Research and debug potential performance or other system anomalies. (i.e., demonstrate superior problem resolution).
• Create and compile technical documentation including unit, integration, and acceptance test plans, support documentation, end user documentation for delivered solutions and other tasks.
• Develop and enforce day-to-day support policies and procedures.
• Communicate status of projects and initiatives to management.
• Mentor/develop/motivate technical and analytical staff.
• Manage multiple projects/reporting solutions for multiple business areas.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
• Demonstrates strong analytical skill. Ability to work directly with business analysts to translate complex functional design into technical specifications. Able to grasp requirements quickly and anticipate potential future requirements.
• Possesses strong technical development skills across many functional and technological areas with ability to provide context to requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written including ability to conduct formal and informal presentations and workshops with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business and all members of the IT organization.
• Ability to recognize and minimize design dependencies between projects.
• Advanced working knowledge and problem-solving skills related to SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, ABAP or interface technologies and all other used application tools. Able to mentor junior analysts. Advanced working knowledge of drop ship scenarios, QM, IM, inbound WM, MM, PM and SRM and related processes.
• Demonstrate strong conceptual reasoning skills and discretionary judgment.
• In-depth knowledge of an SDLC process and ability to develop sound project plans within this framework.
• Intermediate to advanced project management skills, including ability to use influence, persuasion, and mediation to resolve issues and drive consensus.
• As part of SAP development team, superior knowledge of ABAP/4 report and dialog programming, form development, data dictionary objects, performance tuning and debugging and data migration and extraction tools. Understanding of the ABAP Objects concepts and development tools as well as the internet capabilities of the Web Application server technologies and their development environment, such as WebDynpro, Web Services, XML interfaces. Expert level knowledge in at least two non-standard development technologies such as SAP Console, SmartForms/SAP Script, EDI/XI middleware development, WebDynpro, ABAP Objects, Oops ABAP, Label Printing, XML processing, Workflow etc.
• Should have strong hands-on experience in ABAP dictionary, Reports, SAP Scripts, Smart forms, Adobe forms, Dialog programming, Interface programming, ALE/IDOC‘s, Enhancements, OOPs
• Should have strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP/7.55 development for HANA. Extensive experience in creating AMDP views, CDS views, BOPF, Table functions, ODATA and CDS exposure
• Preferred Experience in delivering complex ABAP developments independently AMDP and RAP model Deliverables
• Hands on experience on working on HANA DBMS using ABAP 7.50 Coding Syntaxes (Advanced Open SQL)
• Putaway strategies (Pallet, Standard, Addition to existing), Removal Strategies (FIFO, LIFO), Cross Line Putaway
• Warehouse order creation rules, Warehouse Process type configuration, PPF Configuration
• HU Management, Replenishment, Physical Inventory
• RF Configuration, MFS Configuration
• Worked in Core SAP EWM areas such as Inbound, Outbound, Internal and Cross Docking.
• Knowledge on Performance tuning and interfacing technologies.
• Working knowledge of upgrade processes and all aspects of system testing.
• Able to work extended or non-standard hours to support business needs and project deadlines as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area, or equivalent additional work experience required.
• Minimum 4 years in SAP ECC / S/4 HANA implementation experience in a team environment
• Minimum 4 years in SAP EWM implementation experience as Senior EWM ABAP consultant
• Experience leading and mentoring a development team.
• SAP S/4 HANA ABAP Technical Certified consultant preferred.

• Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
• Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.
