Senior Revenue Accountant Location Chennai India Hybrid Department Finance Accounting Work Hours UK Time Zones 2PM - 11PM IST About Toast Toast is on a mission to build the all-in-one restaurant platform that empowers restaurants to streamline operations increase sales delight guests and keep employees happy We re passionate about helping the restaurant community thrive by providing innovative technology solutions that simplify and enhance every part of the dining experience We re looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex accounting challenges This is a highly visible and impactful role responsible for implementing revenue policies reviewing transactions and ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards About This Role Responsibilities As a Senior Revenue Accountant you will play a key role in managing and optimizing Toast s global revenue accounting processes You ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Finance Billing Operations and Enterprise Applications to ensure accuracy compliance and efficiency in revenue recognition Key Responsibilities Analyze revenue transactions to ensure data accuracy and proper accounting treatment within the ERP system NetSuite and the revenue system Zoura Revenue RevPro Prepare and review monthly revenue journal entries reconciliations and analyses in compliance with Company policies and US GAAP ASC 606 Collaborate closely with GL Accounting Billing Operations and FP A teams to support all month-end close activities Drive cross-functional projects and process improvements impacting revenue accounting and reporting Support the design implementation and execution of key revenue controls and system enhancements within NetSuite and Zoura Draft and maintain whitepapers and documentation related to revenue policies controls and accounting positions Participate in system migration automation and integration initiatives in partnership with the business systems team Identify and execute opportunities for continuous process improvement to enhance accuracy and efficiency across revenue workflows Do You Have the Right Ingredients Requirements Must-Haves 4 years of experience in revenue recognition or revenue accounting preferably within the SaaS or technology industry Bachelor s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and its application Proven ability to perform complex revenue accounting tasks and apply accounting guidance appropriately Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets effectively Hands-on experience with Zoura Revenue NetSuite and Salesforce Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to simplify complex accounting concepts Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Willingness to work in UK and US time zones to support global accounting operations and monthly close cycles Special Sauce Preferred Qualifications Experience with SQL Sequel Professional certification such as CPA Certified Public Accountant or CA Chartered Accountant Experience in system implementation process automation or ERP migration projects Why Join Toast At Toast we re passionate about our people and our purpose We believe in fostering a culture of growth innovation and inclusion -
