Help shape the future of mobility Imagine a world with zero vehicle accidents zero vehicle emissions and wireless vehicle connectivity all around us Every day we move closer to making that world a reality Aptiv s passionate team of engineers and developers creates advanced safety systems high-performance electrification solutions and data connectivity solutions so that automakers can bring advanced capabilities to more people around the globe This is how we enable sustainable mobility and help to prevent accidents caused by human error Role Overview The Engineering Project Leader role in Aptiv has the responsibility to solve cross-competency issues within Engineering This person is the Single point of contact to the PM organization for the engineering project timing plan and execution of all engineering activities and deliverables by supervising Engineering project sub-teams Collaborating with the Customer Chief Engineer and or Engineering Program Leader to manage engineering deliverables on time on cost and on quality levels with supporting documentation V-SPL 2 through coordination of the Resident Engineers It is expected that the EPjL acts as a Primary interface to Customer for engineering deliverables time plan and execution DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Technical Risk management Responsible to prepare and execute Design Reviews Peer Reviews and completeness of the Design Review workbook in compliance with PDP process Responsible for the Technical Risk Register Identify risks project scope changes evaluate rate action plans change points and manage contingency plans Assure the engineering competencies are considering design for manufacturability DFA DFM Approve Start Stop Change Signoff of engineering activity on project component level work packages Responsible for the evaluation and management of internal and customer technical product change requests Technical change estimation effort timing cost and present PCE impact Follow the PCE -
