About the Role:
Client is seeking a dynamic self-starter to execute and enhance its data governance program as part of a robust web analytics framework across multiple established retail brands.
As a key member of the Product Management organization within the Digital and Technology Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of data collection, improving data quality, and driving efficiency across web and mobile analytics platforms.
This position requires expertise in data quality products, tag management, and web analytics to support customer-centric initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute the backlog of Data Quality tasks within the core data governance tool (ObservePoint).
- Own the Data Quality tool (ObservePoint) by leveraging historical use and domain knowledge to enhance its efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor, review, and respond to identified data issues daily, taking ownership of response strategies.
- Drive the data collection validation process in collaboration with engineers across the organization.
- Improve the accuracy of data capture by maintaining and enforcing data requirements within ObservePoint.
- Build and maintain a suite of audits, journeys, rules, alerts, and notifications within ObservePoint to ensure high data quality standards.
- Proactively escalate issues to vendors to enhance tool performance.
- Work cross-functionally with teams to ensure the analytics tools are functioning as expected.
- Access raw data via API and integrate it into data visualization tools for actionable insights.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in Analytics or IT, with at least 2 years of business analyst or web analytics experience.
- Proficiency in Data Quality Management, specifically with ObservePoint.
- Strong experience with web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.).
- Experience working with tag management systems and data layers (Tealium, Signal, Google Tag Manager, etc.).
- Solid understanding of JavaScript and HTML.
- Familiarity with pixel implementation.
- Experience with APIs and Webhooks.
- Knowledge of React and Node.js is a plus.
- Proficiency in Data Management and Data Visualization tools.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, escalate issues appropriately, and handle multiple assignments efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to enforce data governance requirements and communicate the implications of non-compliance effectively.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience with ObservePoint for data quality management.
- Expertise in Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics.
- Hands-on coding experience with JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
