Key responsibilities include preparing shipping documents, liaising with customs, coordinating freight forwarders, and tracking shipments while staying updated on trade laws and market trends to optimize operations and resolve issues.
Key ResponsibilitiesDocumentation:Preparing, reviewing, and managing all necessary documents for customs clearance and international shipments. Compliance:Ensuring all import and export activities comply with international trade laws, regulations, and tariffs. Logistics Coordination:Arranging and tracking shipments, working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery. Customer and Supplier Relations:Managing communications and relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners involved in the supply chain. Problem-Solving:Identifying and resolving issues related to customs, shipments, or regulatory compliance. Process Optimization:Monitoring and evaluating import/export processes to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency. Market Analysis:Staying informed about global trade trends and market changes to identify opportunities and potential risks. Essential Skills & QualificationsOrganizational Skills: Essential for managing complex logistics and detailed documentation. Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate documentation and compliance with regulations. Communication Skills: Necessary for effective coordination with various stakeholders and clear articulation of issues. Knowledge of International Trade: Understanding trade laws, customs regulations, and global market practices is vital. Logistics & Supply Chain Management: Familiarity with supply chain principles and software is highly beneficial. Problem-Solving: The ability to find effective solutions to challenges in international trade is a key skill. Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in business administration, international trade, or logistics is often preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant trade management software and ERP systems is a plus.
