About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer – Data Hosting to join our team in India. This role is pivotal in delivering modern digital data hosting capabilities that are cost-effective, reliable, and secure. The position offers broad exposure to advanced cloud technologies, enabling collaboration across diverse business areas, with ample opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, Implement & Manage: Build scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data hosting solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Data Architecture: Develop and maintain data models, warehouses, and lakes to meet evolving business requirements.
- Optimization: Refine data storage and extraction processes to improve performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, implementing best-in-class data security measures.
- Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to address data needs effectively.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Maintain high availability and reliability of hosting environments through proactive monitoring.
- Automation: Use Azure Data Factory and related tools to streamline data workflows and operations.
- Cloud Solution Development: Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems in line with best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience, including:
- 5+ years in data hosting for both on-premises and Azure environments.
- 5+ years in data engineering and management across hybrid infrastructures.
- Microsoft Certifications: AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) & AZ-104 (Azure Administrator).
- Proficient in Azure data services such as:
- Azure SQL Database
- Azure Data Lake Storage
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (virtual networks, storage, compute resources).
- Experience with on-premises storage systems (NetApp, Dell, etc.).
- Skilled in scripting and automation using Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI.
- Deep understanding of Azure security best practices including identity & access management, encryption, and compliance.

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with hybrid cloud architecture strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
