Job Title: EDA CAD Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EDA CAD Manager to oversee and manage the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and workflows that support semiconductor design and verification processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient tool utilization, maintaining infrastructure, and driving innovation to enhance design productivity. This role requires strong technical expertise in EDA tools, team leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the administration, deployment, and maintenance of CAD flows for AMS, ASIC Front-End, Physical Design and Signoff flows for best in class PPA.
2. Develop and implement automated workflows and scripts to improve tool efficiency and streamline design processes.
3. Provide technical support for EDA tools, troubleshooting issues, and resolving tool-related problems in collaboration with vendors.
4. Manage license servers, tool configurations, and ensure optimal utilization of EDA resources.
5. Collaborate with design, layout, and process technology teams to understand project requirements and tailor EDA workflows accordingly.
6. Maintain and enforce EDA tool best practices, methodologies, and design guidelines.
7. Evaluate and implement new EDA technologies to keep up with the evolving demands of advanced process nodes.
8. Interface with EDA vendors to ensure timely updates, resolve tool bugs, and negotiate licensing agreements.
9. Train and mentor design teams on EDA tools and workflows to ensure efficient and effective use.
10. Monitor tool and workflow performance and suggest improvements to meet the demands of modern design challenges.
11. Stay updated on the latest advancements in EDA tools and semiconductor design methodologies to drive innovation within the team.
12. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for EDA infrastructure, workflows, and tool usage.
13. Ensure compliance with design rules and alignment with foundry-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

- Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in managing and supporting EDA tools and workflows.
- Proven expertise in tools like Cadence (Virtuoso, Spectre, Innovus, etc), Synopsys (ICC/FC, PrimeTime, StarRC, ICV, etc), Mentor Graphics (Pyxis, ADMS, Calibre, etc), or similar EDA ecosystems.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of CMOS design concepts, physical design and verification, AMS circuit layout methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell, Ruby) for workflow automation and tool customization.
- Knowledge of licensing management systems and tool resource optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving EDA tool-related issues.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities to work with cross-functional teams effectively.
- Leadership:
- Experience in leading and mentoring a technical team.
- Ability to manage priorities, allocate resources, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with technology nodes ranging from 180nm to 28nm.
- Familiarity with cloud-based EDA workflows and distributed computing environments.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and yield optimization methodologies.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven approaches in EDA tool optimization and workflows.
